Despite the enormous amount of information both past and present available on any given day, the desire for fresh content seems to be as strong as the desire for food and drink.

With no end in site.

It appears as if the world has become obsessed with content. But not just any content.

Consumers want compelling content.

What exactly is compelling content?

While there’s not a one-size-fits-all answer, compelling content is that which surprises, delights, inspires, suggests, educates, enlightens, entertains, and/or has specific value to the person consuming it.

It is relevant. Insightful. Meaningful.

So what’s a person in charge of creating compelling content to do?

Thankfully, smart people like the ones over at Copyblogger put together helpful infographics like the one below as guides to anyone who needs a little inspiration in the content creation or curation department.

I happen to be particularly fond of numbers 18 and 19, but in all fairness, all of their ideas are good ones.

May you be inspired when the time comes to create compelling content for your next project!
