Which is more satisfying for you:
The feeling you get from achieving a goal because you wanted to achieve it?
Or...
The feeling you get from proving yourself to someone that you could achieve the goal?
Two different drivers of thought and behavior.
I’ve done both and can say each has its own reward factor.
Honestly, though...
I’m more satisfied when I prove to myself that I can achieve a goal.
The feeling lasts a lot longer and then serves as a catalyst for more accomplishments.
The more times I prove to myself I can do something, the better I become at achieving the goals I set.
