Had the chance to spend some time on the Oregon Coast with my kids and their friends during Spring Break last week. It was good to get away and have some time outside on the beach with some of my favorite people in the world.
The weather was just spectacular, and since I had packed my camcorder with me, I decided to shoot a quick video about a topic I have been thinking about a lot lately, and that topic is Passion.
Perhaps it’s because of the excitement over Gary V’s book Crush It! that has so many people in the blogosphere writing about passion these days, or perhaps there is something bigger going on, a fundamental shift in the way people look at life — through the lens of possibility rather than through the lens of limitation.
Regardless, Passion has been on my mind and I wanted to share this video with you, if only because the scenery is simply spectacular.
Getting away from my regular routine always gives me a chance to clear my head and reflect deeply on what’s going on with me.
How are you living your passion? What have you done lately to enjoy what makes you happy? Leave a comment and share your thoughts!
Have a fantastic day!
I can just imagine the kids – ‘jeez mom we’re at the beach, put the video recorder away, gosh.’
But seriously, you are absolutely right, but I think that the biggest challenge is discovering what your passion is in the first place. Anyone who can figure that out is blessed.
Hi Josh, Ya, I know…the good news is, the batteries died in the camcorder right after I shot that video so I HAD to put it away! LOL Thanks for stopping by — you are absolutely right about being blessed when you know your passion! 🙂
Hi Mary Lou, too bad the weather was so bad..J/K.WOW are you sure you were at the Oregon Coast? Great post and awesome video! I agree with Josh for crying out loud all work and no play made Mary lou a dull girl..lol.. it’s an awesome feeling when you find your true passion. I’m glad that we’ve found ours and just like you said in your video if your not helping others in one way or another, whether it’s finding there true passion or teaching them how to market online then your living an unauthentic life.
Mary Lou, What a beautiful setting for an inspiring video about living your passion. I can feel your passion shining through in this. Life without pursuing your passion is not a life, it’s just existing, which does not serve you or others.
Thanks for the great reminder on a gorgeous day!
Val
Hi Mary Lou,
Thanks for this great post. When we do what we are passionate about it won’t feel like work and also the people who are receiving our services will get the most out of our efforts as well.

What a beautiful setting for your video! 🙂
The importance of finding your passion cannot be said enough! Far too many people go through life without following their passion and instead do what they feel they are *supposed* to do. In the end, they have regrets that they didn’t follow their dreams and take a chance on their passions.
Don’t be that guy! Follow your passions and you will be on the path to true happiness and fulfillment.
Thanks so much for sharing this, Mary Lou!

Heather, I don’t know why it’s so hard for more people to live their passions, but for some reason, so many don’t. Aren’t you glad you know what yours is and get to do what you love every single day? 🙂 True happiness and fulfillment can only come when we do just that!
Aloha Mary Lou,
Beautiful post and gorgeous video! And yes, that’s what I see everyday in beautiful Hawaii. I didn’t though for many years because I was stuck at the job, then I finally realized I live in the most beautiful place around and it’s time to enjoy it! Today, I’m on my balcony just taking it in everyday because working from home gives me the time to enjoy our Hawaii and our ohana (family)!
Mahalo (thank you) for taking the time to show others the beauty!
Aloha,
Kellie 🙂
So nice to hear from you again, Kellie! You truly are a role model for so many about how living one’s passion is possible! 🙂
