When the AI Firehose Turns On: Why Strategic Volume Is a Sign You’re Doing It Right

So you’ve taken the first steps to play around with one of the generative AI tools. You’re seeing people like me talking about AI literacy and think, “Why not? Let me give it a go.”

You open up one of the tools, put in a decent prompt, and quickly discover that you can generate an enormous volume of content within literally seconds.

In fact, the more strategic you are with your chatbot, the more likely you are to develop a ton of content.

At this point…

You might feel goosebumps.

You might feel completely overwhelmed.

You might feel both.

Because suddenly, you’re staring down the barrel of 20, 30, even 40 pages of raw insight, strategy, and ideas. From thought leadership content to launch strategies, the gold often starts buried in those 40 pages.

And that’s where most people freeze.

We’ve been trained to believe that productivity looks like clean slides, bullet points, and one-page summaries. But true strategic thinking, especially in collaboration with a powerful partner like GenAI, is messy, dense, iterative, and rich.

Which is the point.

The volume isn’t the problem. The problem for me—and others I’ve talked to—isn’t the amount of content you generate when you really get going with your AI. It’s what that content represents: proof you’ve been thinking way harder than you realized and now it’s all staring back at you.

Think about it: Would you rather walk away from a strategy session with one generic takeaway… or 37 pages of custom thought, pattern recognition, and potential direction even if it’s more than you expected to see at once?

This kind of volume means you’re asking better questions. You’re peeling back layers. You’re inviting complexity instead of running from it. And in a world addicted to oversimplification, that’s rare. That’s valuable.

Of course, the raw material needs refinement. That’s the next phase. But you can’t refine what doesn’t exist. Strategic output starts with strategic input.

As someone who bridges the gap between the tech and the human, I guide professionals through these deep-dive sessions.

I’ve had clients tell me, “I can’t believe this all came from one session.” And they’re right to be surprised—because traditional business thinking doesn’t prepare us for what AI-assisted strategy sessions can actually produce.

Speed and scale are important considerations. And so is surfacing what you didn’t even realize you knew. About getting it out of your head and into the open where it can be explored, refined, shaped, and yes, sometimes tossed in the trash.

That’s the value of working this way. It can feel like a lot. Because it is a lot. But so is planning your next vacation. Raising kids. Wearing the purple dress rather than the black one. You know, anything worth doing.

Not everyone wants to work this way. Some people want a silver bullet. Some want a quick fix. I’m not for them.

But if you’re someone who wants to think more clearly, more creatively, and more strategically—with a partner who knows how to turn firehose output into focused firepower—then you’re exactly who I want in the room.

Don’t fear the pages.

Welcome them.

They’re a sign you’re finally getting somewhere. And I’ll help you figure out where to go next.
