For anyone on an intentional path of self-discovery and personal transformation, letting go of what no longer works is an essential part of the process.

As we imagine what we want to become, what we are and what we have been don't serve us.

We must ask:

What is one idea of yourself you need to get rid of to become who you want to be?

Oh man, is this a tough question!

Tough not because it's hard to understand.

Tough because it is so fucking hard to do.

At least, that's a popular thing to tell ourselves.

But what if it wasn't hard?

What if shedding felt as natural as waking up after a great night's sleep?

Or listening to the sound of a loved one's breathing next to us?

Or saying yes to a pair of concert tickets to our favorite band?

Once reframed in this way, shedding doesn't feel scary or overwhelming or "too hard."

We welcome it as part of the process.

We say good bye to what no longer serves the vision we are moving toward.

Celebrate how good it feels to no longer carry that unnecessary weight.

Move into what's next with excitement and anticipation.

That's what shedding can do for us.
