Hi, I'm Mary Lou, the creator of the Write to Grow™ Collective.
I think we can all agree that it's been a challenging road for all of us since lockdown changed, well, everything. We've been pushed, pulled, spun around, and tossed in every direction from every angle. Our faith has been tested. We've had to sift through misinformation, too many memes, and strings of emojis until it felt like our brains would explode.
We've asked big questions of ourselves and of others. Sometimes the answers excited us. Other times we were surprised at what our answers revealed.
I created the Write to Grow Collective™ as a way for professionals like you to process through writing what you're thinking about now, what you've been thinking about, and where you want to go next. Your experiences, insights, and ideas are important. Writing can help you make sense of things that don't always make sense. Your writing can help others make sense of their world, too.
At the core of this program is my belief that the time has come to usher in a golden age of critical thinking, one that is based on universal values, facts, and truth -- not group think, misinformation, and "junk thinking." Writing has always been one of the best ways to explore ideas, wrangle with big dreams, and practice thinking so that our decisions are more sound. So that we show up more confidently. So that what we express reflects who we are and what we stand for.

Unlike many online programs today that put you in a huge sea of other participants with little or no access to the instructor, I make myself available to you via email and text should you need to reach out between meetings with questions. One of my primary goals when I teach is to create meaningful relationships with participants. Your success with the program is important to me!
