What are you waiting for?

by Mary Lou Kayser in Writing0 Comments

Too many people wait.

They wait for the money to show up.

They wait for the wind to blow in the right direction at the right speed.

They wait for someone else to give them permission to do whatever it is they are waiting to do.

Don’t be too many people.

What are you waiting for?

I don't know your situation.

I don't know what your "it" is.

I don't know what excuse you've told yourself about why you need to wait.

I do know that you've probably been waiting for your circumstances to be different. Once they are, then -- and only then -- you can begin thinking about really doing whatever it is you want to do.

Don't wait.

What Are You Waiting for?

Ways to get started with what you’ve been thinking about (and I know you’ve been thinking about it!) —

-Write it down. No one has to see it but you. Putting it into words on paper is an excellent and powerful first step to making it real.

-Imagine it is already here and you are experiencing it right now. Repeat as many times a day as you want (hint=more in this case is better).

-Identify one person who is already doing it. Make a study of that person. Learn from them as much as you can, not so you can become them but so that you reinforce for yourself it’s possible and what you want.

The tools and resources you need will show up as you go along but only once you decide to start.

The time to start is now.

What are you waiting for?
