A few days ago, I wrote a post about how important it is to keep top of mind the truth about what others think about what we do all day.
When it comes right down to it, the truth is, no one cares about what we do all day as much as we do.
The same can be said about creating content.
Which is why it’s so important to train ourselves to think outwardly — about our audience — whenever we are about to embark on our next project.
Questions such as…
[su_note note_color=”#3ed3c1″ text_color=”#ffffff”]
- Who is our audience for this particular project?
- Why does this project matter to that audience?
- How will creating content for this audience make their life better-easier-less expensive-more comfortable-happier-etc.?

…can serve as guideposts along the content creation and publishing journey.
The cat pictured in the graphic above has become symbolic to me of an information overloaded audience that is smart, attractive…and always a little bit hungry for more.
But the “more” in that equation better be good.
Or away it goes in search of something more satisfying. Something that delights.
