[Video] It Feels Good to Be Endorsed

it feels good to be endorsed

It feels good to be endorsed.

Reading or hearing about the good work you do can provide sustenance on those days when you wonder if you can go another inch.

If what you do matters.

If any of it makes sense.

Enter the pleasant surprise to discover someone has taken the time to endorse some aspect of your work and really means it.

This happened to me yesterday and I couldn’t wait to make this quick post about it!

It Doesn’t Take Much to Make Someone’s Day

As the Ramit Sethi quote in the graphic at the top of this post reminds us, doing something nice for someone else comes back to us in all kinds of blue and orange happiness points.

The following quick video from LinkedIn showcases a recent endorsement about my podcast that took me completely by surprise and made me very happy.

Tom Schwab and the folks over at Interview Valet do a terrific job of vetting their customers. Interview Valet is a service that matches potential podcast guests with podcasts. I’ve been fortunate to have featured people they’ve matched me to on my show and I’m never disappointed with the quality of talent they send my way.

I’d be doing them a disservice if I didn’t publicly acknowledge the hard word they do to expand the brands of podcasters like me who love having meaningful conversations with fascinating thought leaders each week.

I also can’t resist sharing something that acknowledges how hard I work to make my show valuable to both my guests and my audience.

To get a notification on my phone about this endorsement sent the dopamine flowing, that’s for sure.

I realize it shouldn’t matter whether or not anyone likes what I do. That what matters most is that I did something.

I shipped something, as Seth Godin encourages us all to do even when we don’t feel ready (hint: no one EVER feels ready).

Still…

I can’t deny — it feels good to be endorsed!
